Lee Ji Eun (이지은; born May 16, 1993), better known by her stage name IU (아이유), is a South Korean actress, model, and singer-songwriter. IU was a trainee for 10 months before making her debut as a solo artist on September 18, 2008 with the mini album Lost and Found. She achieved her breakthrough with the single Good Day in 2010.

IU fell in love with Jang Ki Ha at first sight and they started dating soon after. They went public with the relationship on October 2015 admitting they had been secretly dating for two years. They broke up on January 2017 after four years together. They cited busy schedules as the reason for their break up.
