Lee Ji Eun (이지은; born May 16, 1993), better known by her stage name IU (아이유), is a South Korean actress, model, and singer-songwriter. IU was a trainee for 10 months before making her debut as a solo artist on September 18, 2008 with the mini album Lost and Found. She achieved her breakthrough with the single Good Day in 2010.
