  • What are the good and bad habits you developed as a figure skater? Good thing is that my movements can be elegant
  • One bad thing is I had to stay upright when figure skating so I still look awkward when dancing hip-hop.
  • Which is better, eating ramyeon at an ice rink, or eating ramyeon in I-LAND? Honestly speaking, I think eating at a rink tastes a little better.
  • Are you a prince? No, I am not.
  • What do you want to do most after you debut? I want to perform in a concert.
  • How do you develop a tireless, diligent mentality? I wasn’t like that from the start. I think you can make it happen if you have a positive mindset.
  • Before figure skating, Sunghoon did other types of skating including inline, hockey, and short track.
  • What does Enhypen mean to you? Besides connection, development, and discovery, which is embodied in our team name, ENHYPEN also means the tie between our fans and us.
  • Biggest lesson learned after joining ENHYPEN: I’ve learnt that the chemistry among the members is really important and that professionalism is also critical.

Sunghoon was a competitve figure ice skater prior to pursuing a career in Kpop. He won many figure skating competitions including the novice gold medal of Lombardia Trophy in 2015 and the junior silver medal in the 2016 and 2017 Asian Figure Skating Trophy.

After deciding to become an idol, he joined Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee and became a participant in the 2020 survival show I-LAND.
