KATSEYE

KATSEYE (캣츠아이; 2024) is an international girl group formed through the collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records reality show The Debut: Dream Academy. The group is expected to debut in 2024. The members of KATSEYE are Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae.





KATSEYE is composed of 6 members born between 2002 and 2007. The oldest member is Manon (born Jun 26, 2002). The youngest member is Yoonchae (born Dec 6, 2007).



KATSEYE'S members are from diverse ethnicities and nationalities. Manon is Swiss. Sophia is Filipino. Daniela, Lara, and Megan are American. Yoonchae is Korean.

Manon is the oldest member of KATSEYE. She is of mixed ethnicity - black and caucasian. Her father is from Ghana and her mother is Swiss-Italian. She was born and raised in Switzerland. She can speak multiple languages including English, French, Italian, and German. Her role model is Beyonce. She can play the ukelele and the piano.

Sophia is the second oldest member of KATSEYE. She is originally from the Philippines. Her family consists of her parents, 1 younger brother, and 1 older brother. Her father is a chef and her mother, Carla Guevara Laforteza, is a singer and actress. She can speak Tagalog and English. Her role model is Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM. She is considered the chef of KATSEYE.

Daniela is from Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Her father is Caucasian European from Italy or Spain. Her mother is Cuban. She can speak Spanish, Italian, and English. She grew up in a culturally Cuban family. She learned singing at the age of 4. Her favorite Korean foods include Kimchi fried rice topped with eggs and convenience store strawberry milk.

Lara is Indian-American. She was born in India and raised in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her nickname is Lariana. Her favorite Korean TV show is Street Woman Fighter. Her favorite Korean foods are spicy tteokbokki, bibimbap, and kimchi stew. Her role models are Niki from ENHYPEN and Jimin from BTS.

Megan is the second youngest member of KATSEYE. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but moved to Los Angeles at the age of 10 to pursue an acting career. Her family consists of her parents and an older brother. Her father is Caucasian and her mother is Chinese-Singaporean. She started learning to dance at the age of 3 and singing at the age of 8. She can also play the ukelele. Her favorite Korean foods are tteokbokki and fried chicken.

Yoonchae is the youngest member of the group. She is also the only Korean member. She was born in Seoul, South Korea. She auditioned with CJ E&M in 2020 and passed. She was an idol trainee for 2 years prior to participating in the Dream Academy. She is the only member who did not live in the United States; in fact, The Dream Academy was her first time visiting America.
